What is it?
ReusePass is a free rent-and-return program for reusable containers. You help reduce waste on your campus when you choose to reuse.
Why reuse? To reduce waste!
95% of plastics don't get recycled—even if you throw them in the blue bin! Instead, most single-use plastics end up in our oceans, landfills, and bodies. Each time you choose to reuse, one less container goes to landfill.
Avoid Emissions
The production of single-use containers, even compostable ones, is a resource-intensive process. Each time you reuse, one less container needs to be manufactured, shipped overseas, and delivered to your campus.
Save Water
Yes, reuse requires washing. However, this sanitization process uses less water than is required for the production of a new single-use container.
How to sign up and use ReusePass:
Download the Grubhub App
Available in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
1. GET STARTED
Download the Grubhub app and create a new account or log in if you already have one.
Under the Account tab, select “Campus Dining.” Choose “University of Tampa” as your campus and select your affiliation.
Add your campus card and explore on-campus dining options.
2. ORDER REUSABLE CONTAINER
Open Grubhub and select “Ultimate Dining - ReusePass ” under Campus Locations.
3. CHOOSE REUSEPASS
Start your order and select ReusePass – Reusable Container.
4. SIGN UP FOR REUSEPASS
Grubhub will redirect you to ReusePass.
Sign in using your MyUTampa credentials, accept the Terms & Conditions, and select Return to Order.
Signing up for ReusePass is FREE!
5. COMPLETE YOUR ORDER
You’ll be redirected back to Grubhub.
Review your order, continue to checkout, and place your order as usual.
6. PICK UP YOUR REUSABLE CONTAINER
When you arrive at Ultimate Dining, swipe in for your meal as usual. Then, show your ReusePass QR code to the cashier and let them know you ordered a reusable container.
You’ll then receive your ReusePass reusable container.
7. ENJOY & RETURN
Fill your reusable container, enjoy your meal, and return the container to a designated ReusePass return bins in Vaughn Center within 3 days. If the container is not returned on time, a $5 fee will be charged.
Please Note: If you are on a Carte Blanche (Unlimited) Meal Plan, you cannot take food to go from Ultimate Dining.
